You can get some really good soft toys from charity shops, I bought a lovely big dog for my J. Chin to keep her company when her one and only son left for his new home. That was 4 years ago and its still going strong.
They probably wouldn't stand up to an adult Boxers play though, but would be fine while he is still a small puppy.
Good luck with him and let us see him when he arrives.

It will mean that the pedigree isn't verified and could be made up, so you will not know the health or history for certain of the pups parents.

It will also mean you will not be able to show your dog if you ever wanted to.

Are the parents of the pups health tested? Boxers are prone ot heart problems, so it is very important the parents have been tested by a specialist as opposed to an ordinary vet.

Re: new boxer puppy

With a Boxer as with many dogs you do need to consistant with training ........start as you mean to go on and let the pup know who's the pack leader ie if you are quite happy for your dog to be sleeping in your bed/on the sette for next 10 years then so be it but if your not you have to train from day one. Boxers will try their luck and if they get away with something once they will keep on doing it.............dont let the sad eyes fool you (still get me now after owning Boxers for 16 years!!!!!)

Once the first few months are sorted with training etc you will have a loyal loving pet

Re: new boxer puppy

As a person who is owned by two Boxers I would say get ready to laugh. They do the funniest things.

Before the pup comes home you need to sleep, sleep, and more sleep cause you won't get much for awhile. I am so excited for you. Have fun and get ready for the ride of your life.
