Dog insurance

Does anyone know about pet insurance? Is it right for a 9 week old puppy?

Re: Dog insurance

If you are choosing insurance Petplan offer a free four week plan.

It's wise to get insurance as soon as possible. My dog started with skin problems shortly after bringing him home. His skin problems would be exempt on any insurance policy/cover I choose to take out today.

I have never had pet insurance for my pets, but it can offer peace of mind.

Sue

Re: Dog insurance

If your dog is kennel club registered I think they normally come with 6 weeks free insureance - that gives you time to shop around. £27 sounds a heck of a lot to me - what type of dog is he.
You are right - you really need a for life policy
pet plan, M&S, argos to policy, sainsburys to name but a few.
read the small print uintil you think you understand it - then read it again - if in doubt ask questions.
regards
sue

Cool Re: Dog insurance

the dog is a pedigree but when i spoke to her today she said she hasnt got them insured im thinkin she probably uses pdsa, its a boxer that im buyin, some of them supermarket ones only cover so much wit petprotect they cover 6000 per year an it restarts every year back to 6000. if that make sence. will keep lookin about, but do u no if pdsa will cover me for health things. also can i regester my pup with kc when i get him. i have been told i will get papers

Re: Dog insurance

Try argos for a online quote - but make sure you opt for their most expensive policy
