Monty

Hey everyone,

How addictive is this forum lol

I've just spoke to the breeder of Monty to find out when we the KC papers through etc and to ask if he has already been wormed.

However, it appears he hasn't. Is this something I should get the vet to do when he goes for his first jab on Thursday? Also, Monty is 8 weeks and already his nails are sharp and long... Can i get them done at this age or should i wait until he's a bit older.

Photo's are coming soon,

Darren

Re: Monty

he should of been wormed from 2 weeks of age so yes...as soon as you get him i suggest you take him to a vet to have him wormed.

As for his nails...you can do them yaself with baby nail clippers...ive found the human nail clippers easyer to use then the proper dog clippers you can clip them anytime u feel they need doing, but be carefull not to catch the quicks.

Look forward to pickys

Re: Monty

Need to start clipping nails (if you are confident in doing so) at the earliet opportunity - it's best to get dogs used to have them cut as young as possible. I am fortunate that my eldest do never needs his done - but my Misty (PIR) had to have hers do regulararly - and she hated it.

Re: Monty

My breeder had already done my puppy at 2. 4, and 6 Weeks shes due again next week. She told me to use Drontal Puppy Suspension.
I got mine from Pets at Home £9.99.

Claws was told off the breeder to use nail clippers.

As for paper I got mine when I picked my puppy up.

Can't wait to see pictures.

Re: Monty

So, no worming and 8 weeks old... Do this mean that he could be ill/have health problems? We are taking him for worming at 5.20.
