Re: Do you brush your dogs teeth?

i brush millie's when ever she has a bath, which hasen't been that often with the dry weather. she doesn't like it lol, in fact she tries to chew the toothbrush after.

although she does have a dental stick after her dinner, as they seem to keep her breath smelling nice.

my vet advised me not to brush to regularly as we can brush too hard and damage there gums, so i do it proberbly once a month.

No, I don't actually brush them, but I do use dogs toothpaste in some of his toys which are specifically designed for that purpose.

Re: Do you brush your dogs teeth?

I brush Zippers about once a month - although he doesn't really need me to now, he has crooked teeth and the vet advised I get him used to it as when he's older he may be prone to plague building up between his teeth.

Re: Do you brush your dogs teeth?

I brush my dogs teeth once a week - as well as dental hygiene it gives me a reason to check their teeth, gums etc...

Re: Do you brush your dogs teeth?

Cheers for the replies guys

I try to brush Sahas teeth about twice a month, she actually quite likes it but I do give her a wee denta stick every day, not sure if they work either! But it's worth a shot

From the day we got her a neighbour said to me that I should always take care of her teeth, she didn't with her dog and his teeth are terrible and she said thats the one thing she regrets....not brushing his teeth!
