Smile Old doggy!

I'm dogsitting one of my regulars for whom I look after every few months for a week or two, a collie cross mongrel called Holly. I'll be totally honest... I keep thinking that when I sit her, it'll be the last time. She's pushing 17, yet she still loves her walks, still loves playing ball and she still loves running around being a dog.

I'll post some piccies of her later tonight, but just thought I'd see if anyone else has a doggy thats getting on a bit, but still loving life!

Re: Old doggy!

My dad had a gsd who died this year at the age of 17 we were all very surprised she lasted as long as she did and my dads rottie has just turned 12 and she's still going strong ( a bit fat but going strong )

Re: Old doggy!

My mum lost her old collie X earlier in the year Chippy was pushing 17 years and still loved to go for walks. She has a 10 year old JRT who used to look after her he would fetch her back when they called her as she was almost completely deaf

Re: Old doggy!

Looks in excellent condition for a 17 year old. Didnt know dogs could live that long.

Re: Old doggy!

Oh she's a sweety. My brothers dog died at 20 so she could easily have a few good, happy years left. Here's hoping...Jill
