Its always great when off lead for the first time in a fenced area.They are rare to find though.Do lots of off lead training in the back yard and then move onto training on lead at the park.Get a really long runner lead,if focus is not spot on and you can practise your recalls from long distances.When you are absolutely sure then go for off lead training in park,just start at short distances.Sit stays.drop stays-say one step in front then you can increase distance.Its so rewarding dont you think..?
