Re: Dog INsurance

Thanks, were getting our pup today so will need to sort this out soon. However, we do get 6 months free with pet plan first.

Re: Dog INsurance

Hi, I recently done a search for our new English Bulldog - by far the best for the amount of cover, and value for money was petsinsurance.co.uk - we saved a half of the premium of others with more cover than they offered.

Re: Dog INsurance

Just had a look at the Tesco pet insurance. My Puppy is only 7 weeks old so not had any injections or micro chip.
I will be having all these done but it only ask if you have had them done.

Does anyone know of one that will just do puppies from a young age that haven't yet had their injections or am I best to wait till she as had them done.

Normally you'd take out the insurance with the details of your puppy correct as of today - then once she's all up to date call them up and adjust the policy, and you're premiums should be reduced.

Re: Dog INsurance

Don't use Pet Plan, it's cost more than the ins. on the car. Amber is 10 years old and we are nearly £40 a month, plus £110 excess, and then 20% of the treatment. She's to old to change to a new ins.

Didnt your breeder arrange 6 weeks free insurance for you?? A good breeder will usually have this in place so that you have time to get vacc sorted out.

If you live near a 'pets at home' store, they normally have a vet inside there and can offer the jabs, microchipping and 6 weeks insurance for £59. That's what we are doing and he's got his first jab Thursday.

Re: Dog INsurance

Dont just look at how cheap the quote from the insurance companies is. You need to look at what you are covered for and if theres any excess etc. I use more than insurance for all my dogs
