Belly button

Just wondered when the pups went for there check, on the first born where Tia was to keen on the cord now the pup has a very very small swelling where the belly button is but the nurse said as he gets older this should heal its self, any advice please anyone else had this with there pups?

sounds like a tummy Umbilical Hernias.... well known in ebt's as it goes

in the old days they used to tye a coin around the hernia to help that

they can actually ave an op to rite it... but ive known dogs to live happilly wiv a tummy hernia.

yep, my mum and a breeder i know both said the same thing to me lol...strange wat we did in the old days aint it lol.

I did read that it can heal up but it will just look like it has a outie bellybutton lol.

i actually had a pup like that i used to feel it pop back in wen i picked her up...made me cringe it did coz it had a clicky feeling to it lol...as she grew, obviously the hernia grew wiv her...god its making me cringe now lol.

they said they wont know for sure untill he is about 6-7 weeks, i wonder how much it would be to fix it at the vets if he does need it.

Lol sorry but thats funny
My daughters pony has one and she is 14yrs does not bother her so don't worry and no judge has ever pulled her down for it (but she only does the odd local show not county)
Bless what you going to call the pup now? Buttons?

no clue to how much it would cost sorry, i knew wen my pup was very young that hers was an hernia...it just stuck out like half a bubble *cringes* lol
