Dalmatian Nail Advice Needed
Hi All
I have a beautiful three year old eternal puppy Dalmatian. There are however two problems that I just can't stop.
1. The barking at the slightest noise, in the car or at the door... and she is LOUD. But to be honest that isn't the thing I'd like to sort out first its...
2. Her nails. It doesnt even have to be when she is excited, often she will stretch and put her feet on yours and as she stretches those nails dig in my feet. If she jumps up in excitement they can really hurt - and more often than not bruise or scratch. I've lost count of the scratches and bruises I've had but I have to admit I'm getting tired of the pain!
Her nails are kept trim at all times, she even bites her own nails if she feels they are too long!! But because there is no hair around them she hurts without meaning to.
I tried those plastic things you glue over the nail but she literally chewed at them until she had each one off - and in the process made a right mess of her feet.
She is not my first Dalmatian so I was aware what I was letting myself in for but she just seems so much more nail clumsy and damaging than my first!
Does ANYONE have any suggestions on anything else to try?
Thanks
