Re: Agility anyone?

Hi, I wanted my rottie to do heelwork to music with me but with his hips he cant do much other then the simple moves, same with agility, although its such a shame as hes pretty good. My ridgeback however has been an old man since he was three and shows no interest in silly games like that. lol.

neither are interested with balls, other then football so flyballs not much good for us either. i think i need another dog to be honest. lol

Re: Agility anyone?

I have just stated competing in obedience with Tilly, and we got our first rosette this year a 3rd in the KC pre-beginner stakes out of a class of over 50!
We have got our first agilty show on saturday
I also go to HTM classes with Tilly , I will never compete but it is fun learning all the moves.
Tilly did go to flyball training, she is very fast but got a bit worried about the noise of the box. Also training is on a sunday and most open shows are held on a sunday.
I am also going to a gundog training day next week, so will have to wait and see if Tilly enjoys that

Tilly loves doing anything, she loves to learn and wants to please. As long as she gets her ball at the end she is happy

Re: Agility anyone?

oh forgot to say. rune (ridgeback) just wants cuddles, so he gets them he also enjoys watching the telly while cuddling so we d a lot of that together. Leon loves to make me open doors for no apparant reason, he sits and asks nicely then once the door is opened he changes his mind, little bugger, he also likes to steal things from under your nose to see if he gets caught and talk to everyone he can see through the window, sometimes i join in too.

It is a toller gundog day. I can guarantee there will be no harsh handling, but there will be lots of fun and plenty of laughing

Re: Agility anyone?

me and my girl collie do agility. i trained her myself, and my grandpa built most of our stuff, like the see-saw and pausetable. i must say, my sheba is a genius. she knew what to do with the see-saw the second she seen it. and she learned the weavepoles within a few months. we're gonna enter the junior league agility trials.

Re: Agility anyone?

I do gundog training with mine, and I don't use any harsh methods. Its the same with everything, you get good and bad apples in the bunch, in any walk of life.
