Question Probably a silly question but ...

do stinging nettles affect dogs??

I took Cola out as usual this morning but she decided to run through a large patch of stinging nettles and ever since we got home shes been madly scratching herself and nibbling her paws etc.. its really strange as one minute I think shes sleeping and the next she is off and running around scratching like crazy.

I have only recently de-flead her and I know its not fleas its just come on after we got back from our walk.

Edit: Would tea tree help??

Re: Probably a silly question but ...

Yes they definitely get stung, and in short coated breeds you can really see the bumps all over their bodies. Should go down on its own quick enough without intervention to be honest

Re: Probably a silly question but ...

My brother-in-laws staffy is the worst for nose diving into nettles and her whole body comes up really bumpy, she looks really funny, but they go down quick enough. My boy has been stung a few times and he looks bumpy too but I never notice it for long.

Cola should stop itching soon enough bless her
