Yes this pisses me off too! Meg wasn't great with other dogs when she first came to us, we have done a lot of work with her and turned it all around. Other day some prat with two loopy Labs let them come bounding over to her when she was on lead, they weren't aggresive as such but bouncy and snarling, barking, Meg didn't look happy and I could see her snapping. Luckily there was both me and the OH there and she held Meg behind her and I saw the Labs off, stupid owner stood there doing jack all. If I'd have been on my own it could have been a different story and everything we've worked on could have been undone.

People should only breed from 2 well behaved/mannered dogs. If one parent or more was aggressive then you should not buy that puppy. I know some perfectly lovely staffies. The most aggress dog I have ever had to associate myself with was a labrador. A child had to have plastic surgery to have its face put back on, the dog had to be put down. You should report this irresponsible owner before this nasty dog does some serious irreversible damage

Re: Perfect walk ruined again.

I've just noticed your message. I was out walking our dog a couple of weeks ago when we'd only been out about five minutes, turned a corner and a girl with dog off lead were coming the other way. The other dog went straight for my dog's throat. He shot across the pavement like a bullet. No warning. No time to act. The girl shouted at him to get off and presumably intended for him to follow her (neither of which he did) and all this time I was trying to get my dog away from him. We were in a busy shopping area - people going to work/school etc. My dog was in pain and screeching the place down. It seemed to go on for ever but in reality was no more than a minute or so but certainly long enough to shake us both up so much so a shop keeper asked us to come into his shop and gave me a mug of coffee and our dog a sausage! (our dog was shaking like a jelly so I think he deserved it.)
