First thing I did with Oscar was attach the lead and he ran around playing with it. Then, I started to hold it for a minute at a time. I did this a few times a day. I tried to make it fun and he went to town. He ran around the garden like a loony with it.

When I have had litters I fitted all the pups with a cheap puppy collar, I would then put a lead on, one at a time, the other pups would pull at it in play and that got them used to it. Luckily for me, he's never actually got tangled *touch wood*. If you make the lead a game to get them used to it then they get so excited when it times for walkies.

I don't want him to be miserable ever!

It's so funny, he's happy enough on his walks but on our way home, when the house is in sight, he goes mad and runs and jumps and barks.

lol When I get back to the house lucky starts slowing down and looking the other way

Awww he is sooooo gorgeous. We were going to buy a doodle so I am going to be really interested to see how you get on with him. We decided to go for a smaller dog in the end.
We have pups that are about the same age, I think. because we are going to have our first walkies next saturday!
