Puppy Injections

Hi Guys

Just a quick question can injections give puppys poorly tummys. Cookie had his second ones yesterday and he has had an upset tummy, has been twice in the house today which he has never done before ( I know we are very lucky never done this before) ??

Thanks

Re: Puppy Injections

I would say yes, it can upset some puppies tummies. A friend of mine had her puppys first injections and for the next 24 hours after that he had quite runny poos and was a bit down. He soon perked up again the next day though.

With the 2nd injection he didn't have an upset tummy.

If you're worried, you could always ring up your vets and ask them... I'm sure they would be happy to answer any questions you have.

It can upset them a bit yes. If it goes on to long keep an eye you dont want him to dhydrate. They normally perk up in a day or so.

Re: Puppy Injections

Yes, a very small percentage of dogs do get side effects from vaccination shots. It would best if you rang your vet to say about this adverse reaction and get advice. Also, the vet should note this on the pup's record. Usually, the pup is fine in a day or two but keep an eye on things, especially that he drinks enough.

HI

Cookie had a bit of an upset tummy but other than that was fine and think its us owners who suffer more when they are having injections because we worry so much!!
