It gets worse!!!
Look at this ad
eek:![]() West Highland Terrier / Bichon Frise for STUD Hi I have a Gorgeous Wee-Chon for Stud, he is a excellent example of the Cross breed, he is very healthy 18months old, he will be my stud dog for my new bitch wee-chon for 2nd generation wee-chons. He is available to other Wee-chons for 2nd generation Wee-chons. Westies/Bichons. CKCS for cavachons and mini Poodles for westiepoos.. He is known as a 'designer dog' and is bred to be hypoallergenic, low to non moulting. Pure white in colour with striking black nose pigment & dark brown eyes. Has the most gorgeous floppy ears! Height: 13 Inches, Weight: 5.5kg, Cost: quick brush daily. Exercise: few plays a day and a short walk is fine. Intelligence: Very loves to learn, especially for food! Loves everyone including children, also a good watch dog, will bark when needed! Heterosis effect results in a healthier, more vigorous dog with a reduced chance of genetic disease. It is well known in all domestic animal breedings, hybrids 50%-50% mixes of two different breeds will raise the chances of having less genetic diseases because all doubling of detrimental effects will stop in the first generation. The genetic term for this is HETEROSIS EFFECT. This effect often gives non-related individuals stronger descendants than inbreeds. Good example of a cross breed,I didn't realise they had a standard and could be judged against to see if they were good examples ![]() ![]() ![]() I've never read such a pile of rubbish! ![]() |

Re: It gets worse!!!
Gosh I couldn't own one of them dogs, I can't even pronounce the name correctly!!
As for crossbreeding producing more healthy pups that is not necessarily true. If anything it can increase chances of genetic defaults (ie introducing faults from both breeds and not just the one). |

Re: It gets worse!!!
You may have a point about you ideas on cross breeds etc..
But I do believe you are being very unfair with your criticism re other forum members dogs.. How bout having some consideration instead of continually B******G about them.. You lot don't half lay into some people.. And I can see this would certainly drag the numbers and good members of the forum down.. I don't mean to get at anyone in particular but I would say every week since I have joined a few of you seem to attack a forum member. There are quite a few nice threads and I really enjoy reading and contributing to them..

And where does it state on this forum that it is for Pedigree dog owners only and if you don't have a pedigree dog, be fancy named x or whatever you are agreeing to be attacked! And left feeling very upset and deflated!
