Bioflow collars

Hi guys just wondered if anyone has used a Bioflow collar on there dog or cat or horse , Jessie has been lame now for about 10 weeks it invariably worsens with exercise she has had x rays and no signs of a break but she still limps , while we were on holiday last week the lady who owns the farm recommended a Bioflow collar they are magnetic and aid in healing and ballancing the body from a holistic view . Her collie wears one and she says it has improved her mobilty a lot and told me of a friends Lab a bit like Jess who for no obviouse reason develloped a limp and after she told them to get this collar it became a different dog .
Ive been on line and ordered one it was £31 with postage and she will wear it all the time i,l give anything a go as anti inflamatories , painkillers etc has not improved her a great deal ,
The one thing though last week we noticed was that on tues she was really strugling so we only tok her for a short walk on the beach , on thurs we took them to a different beach and she swam for ages going in the sea back and forth with kyle and it seamed to loosen her up she didnt limp half as much after , so im also wondering would hydrotherapy help ??

Re: Bioflow collars

I have never used one on a dog, but know many people who have with great success. I wear a bio-flow wrist band all the time to stop me getting headaches, have done for a number of years now, after the first one broke, I decided it was all mumbo jumbo and I wasn't going to spend another £50, within a month my headaches returned with avengence, because I hadn't had any for a number of years I'd forgotten how bad they were, £50 suddenly didn't seem much.
I hope it helps for your girl.

Re: Bioflow collars

Sounds interesting... I think hydro therapy would help as it will allow the joints to move without putting pressure on them. You might also want to look at canine massage- i am currently studying this and it is early days but there are some fab success stories from it in such cases ...

The collars seem interesting, never really looked into them .... is this something you could use as preventative - i have a DDB and worry about her joints in later life - she is only a pup now but would do anything to make sure she doesnt suffer when she gets older

Re: Bioflow collars

My friend had one for her horses knee seemed to free him up..
Have ago and see how it goes. But one the horses you can't leave them on.. apparently you have to start with a short time and then increase it.

Not sure about the dog collar.. sounds like your dog needs some anti flams and some painkillers..

We have done inti inflamatories 3 times the first time after she fell off the chair she had them for a week then they changed the tablet to something else with a painkiller in it for a week, then while we have been away last week i had a weeks worth to give her a bit of freedom while we have been on holiday and i dont think they make any difference to her , she also gets glocosamine , shark cartillage , and green lipped muscle . and both dogs are fed raw.

I cant see as it does any harm they are just magnets and i know they have great healing properties , i had just never thought that they did them for dogs ,

I live on Anti flams and I can honestly say It takes nearly a week for them to kick off in my system.. Also has the vet tried cortisone??

Re: Bioflow collars

We have done a 4 week course of injections that were to boost the cartillage in her elbow , its the only thing visable on the x ray that there was some slight issue with the elbow joint OCD, we had the same with our other lab Daisy at the start of the year she had x rays and the same injections as she had become lame for no reason she picked up quite soon after finishing the course and is on the same cocktail of tablets from the health food place , she doesnt limp at all now .
Both dogs were from the same breeder although we only had Daisy to start with we adopted Jessie at christmas cos she couldnt stay with her origional family and as it turns out they were not well bred at all but then we live and learn , and pick up the pieces after .
