Re: Where Does Your Dog Sleep At Night?

Its strange really as before we had a dog we said that it wouldnt come in the bedroom, but maybe as she is fairly small you dont really know she is there! We may try to knock the jumping in with us when were asleep thing on the head, just so we do have our own space. Its hard to make her go back into bed when she makes you stir and your all sleepy!

Re: Where Does Your Dog Sleep At Night?

Our little lad sleeps in his bed in the kitchen occasionally he is allowed to sleep in our room and he chooses to sleep between us, side on. Hubby and me get about 4ins of bed to balance on.

Re: Where Does Your Dog Sleep At Night?

Foxy sleeps in her crate in my bedroom (opposite the bottom of my bed).

When she's older I will probably let her sleep wherever she wants in my room, whether that be in her own bed/cushion somewhere in my room, on the carpet... or even in my bed with me.

Foxy hasn't been on/in my bed yet but I will probably allow it sometimes when she gets older. It's not as if I have to worry about her jumping up and me then telling her no when I don't feel like it (which could confuse her). She can only get up onto a bed if someone lifts her on there.

My two sleep in the utility room, my hubby built a nice pen for them. Out of bounds up stairs.

Re: Where Does Your Dog Sleep At Night?

Mine both sleep in the bedroom with me and the hubby. Both have their crates, Oscar has the door of his open and he sleeps between his crate and at the bottom of the bed. Bella still has her crate door shut as she is only little so i dont want her wandering in case of little puddles :-) eventually we will do the same with her and then swap the crates for just the dog beds.
In theory i agree with the no dogs on bed policy but there is nothing better than a dog snuggled into you - plus i know this sounds silly but if we are all in the same room and something happened like a fire we would all be together and I would be putting them into rucksacks or something and climbing out of the window with them strapped to me!!
Quite a challenge with a bordeaux - id bundle her into the duvet cover maybe and have a makeshift rucksack!!

Re: Where Does Your Dog Sleep At Night?

Our three sleep in our bedroom but they have free roam of the whole house if it's possible. They've got their own beds but usually just sleep under our bed or on our bed. I don't see anything wrong with letting dogs upstairs, in bedrooms or even on beds if they don't take up too much room.

Re: Where Does Your Dog Sleep At Night?

Id love to have Toff in the bedroom with us , like we did Buddy , but id dread to think just what we'd wake up to ... Bits of chewed furniture and the bed collapsing under us cos he'd chewed the legs off , lol
