When I worked full time Milo still got walked twice a day, someone came in and walked him while I was out and I took him out in the evening. It's not ideal but it is possible. My house got totally trashed though because he had seperation anxiety and ripped up sofas and all sorts. I do agree it would be better to wait until he isn't working full time.

Re: Home visits

Our first rescue was an English Bull x Staff, and they were quitre happy that we were both out at work most of the day. At least the dog would be in a home, have your company in the evening and at weekend. Staffs can jump super high though and are great at escaping!

The dog we have now though, she is only 7 months and was used to being left for 5 hours when we got her. She doesn destructs anything and is happy with her kong and blankie!

I do however think that many people stereotype, and decide on a dog as they think it looks nice or is a popular breed. You most certainly have to look at your situation and go through what is best for the dog, as you wouldnt want the dog to end up more distressed and for your home to be trashed!
