Question Walking Friends

Hi, I was wondering if any knows of any websites or organisations where you can find people to hook up with for dog walks? I live in the Northwest.
Many thanks.

Re: Walking Friends

When it comes to walking I think I must be miss anti social. I take the dog (s) to school and that is as far as it goes. But I love walking with the dog(s) on my own. I love the soiltude of it. Fresh air, doggies running, sniffing and enjoying themselves. No snotty kid asking WHY WHY WHY. No other plebs getting on my wick.

But dog walking friend groups is a good idea but not for anti social peeps like me lol

Re: Walking Friends

I know what you mean walking on your own definately has it's pluses. The thing is there are lots of really lovely countryside walks around were I live but unfortunately some of them are a bit secluded so I would feel more comfortable walking in company. Also, hopefully other people might be able to introduce me to some new walks?
The dog training group route sounds like a good idea, there are a few training organisations locally so I'll contact them and see if they know of any walking groups - thanks

Re: Walking Friends

Like MrsDusty I like to walk alone so go at 6am so I don't have to take kids. Been going at this time for years and the only person usually out at the same time is a nice lady with 3 lurchers so we tend to often have a chat and a bit of a walk around but nothing is planned so if I fancy walking alone I can.

In the winter it is dark at 6 am so lucky my dog is so big don't think anyone would consider tackling him (although if the attacker had a dog he would be too busy playing with it to bother with me!)

My kind of walks - you are right I hardly meet anyone - bliss

It is nice to walk with someone from time to time my dog loves it when he has a buddy to walk with. Unfortunately I don't know of any dog walking groups.
