the one I use smells just like Joop but they have 3 different ones will get the name and web address for you - they can be bought in PAH but the ones we get around the shows can be diluted and are strong enough to even mask the smell of ferrets

Re: Do u bath ur dog?

Hi im new but i own a cocker and he has a bath every 2 to 3 months. If not he smells real doggy and his coat between cuts is like a old mop. It soaks up muck, mud and water, but you are right it can dry the skin and strip the oils from the coat. I use bob martins dog shampoo it always seems to make his coat shiney and has never irratated him.He doesnt mind his baths at all.
I always bathe my dog on the retun trip from the kennels as i worry in case of cross infections between the amount of dogs there and the disinfection they use seems to annoy his skin.
My grooming lady is very good and she keeps his shampoo at hers for his pampering and cut. He adores her and im so pleased hes happy to go and get sorted. I do find i have to clean his ears as they seem to get real mucky as he drags them through god knows what.Normally its what foxes have left behind, i normally cant stand the whiff. Ilove my dog to bits even if he is a bit doggy sometimes. They love us unconditionally what ever even if we sholud whiff to, do you think.?

Re: Do u bath ur dog?

Hi,
Tashi is that a Welsh SS? Excuse me please, I'm new.
Dogs get dipped in the burn -I'm not strong enough to keep them out if they are on the lead and determined. They may come out cleaner looking or not (peat) but at least they are rinsed.
Serious showering only when the newly acquired male had ring worm - ten minutes with a wet dog with a medical shampoo on the coat is hell.

I now know what a bidet is for, drinking vesssel for three spaniels at the same time.

Sgurr
