Thumbs up Pupp beds/cushions

What do your puppys have as beds? Do you buy the "cheap" stuff for a few months, then when they get older splash out a little more? once they're over their destroyful stage lol.

Re: Pupp beds/cushions

What fabulous beds, I can just see Foxy in one of them lol.

My heinz 57 has a home made bed. It is basically a big Ikea rectangle cushion. I then cover it with a sarong in the summer (which co ordinates with colur scheme) or a colour co ordinating blanket,

Lily sleeps on a fleece or a hand crocheted blanket that her 'Nan' made for her in her crate.

Re: Pupp beds/cushions

we got our pups big massive beds which are looking like big cushions filled with a duve (not sure about spelling ).
They will last for the rest of their lifes. They dont chew them, they are waterproof ... so pretty easy to clean and they cant grow out them
So it was a great buy for us

I like the first bed...im sure foxy will love this beds

Re: Pupp beds/cushions

They look great, really comfy.

I bought Duke a petmate bed when he was a pup and he still has it. I put a pet cushion in for extra softness and comfort.

We've had it for 3 years, personally I wouldn't recommend them, they are difficult to clean, dog hairs and smells cling and its showing signs of wear.

Re: Pupp beds/cushions

I have a friend who's had around 30 dogs since puppies and he's kept all of their first collars.

I'm definately keeping Toby's first collar.

So don't, my dog still has the first bed I bought him and still sleeps in it. He still has the very first toy we bought him. We had to pop into Tesco's to buy him some food so hubby bought him a toy too. A multi-coloured rope with a self-coloured rope ball attach and self coloured rope handle. He still plays with it.

First collar and harness, if its good then I keep it if its worn I bin it.

Cute beds! I can't wait until I can get Oscar a fancy bed. He doesn't chew the plastic bed but I'm going to wait until he's older.

Re: Pupp beds/cushions

Shawnee has one of those plastic beds with a big cushion and blanket in it

I don't think she has ever slept in it tbh she prefers to lie on the tile floor

Re: Pupp beds/cushions

They had some cute small dog beds in pets at home when i popped in the other day to get new tags for the girls , they were in the boutique range like little sofas , We have 2 Labs and they have a bean bag bed with a duvet and cover wrapped around it other wise the beans tend to migrate to one end lol . At night though they have a fleece blanket each tucked into the sofas and they have a leather setee each to sprawl out on lol .

I have kept the first collars of my dogs, I just couldn't entertain the idea of throwing them away!

On the bed issue, I have always bought soft cusioned beds but I dont spend a fortune and make sure it fits in the washing machine because both of mine weed on their beds a lot as puppies
