Re: Eating poo

Since having Foxy, she has never tried to eat her own poo. Sometimes after she's done it she will go up for a sniff, but then quickly runs away. I used to watch out for her, because I had heard that some puppies do this.

In a way I am glad she doesn't... I wouldn't want her licking my face after eating a load of sh*t! lol.

Lily doesn't eat her own dump - I wouldn't want to if I was her either LOL Mind u I do clean it up as soon as it has exited out of her.

Re: Eating poo

Willoughby eats his own I tried putting pineapple in his food for every single meal but it had zero effect. I am about to invest in some of the cophragia (sp) tablets to see if that helps. It's only a problem if I let him out unattended in the garden, otherwise I'm there and pick it right up as soon as he wanders away from it and isn't watching me.

He also eats the cats poo Soooooo gross! I'd rather not have to keep him on lead in the garden forever, but I don't really see what else I can do. With 2 young boys I can't have him coming straight in and licking their faces/hands with poop breath

Oh no cat poo! Jesus, we all know how bad cat poo stinks compared to dog poo! woah, I don't blame ya not wanting him to come in licking people with that kind of breath hehe!

But on a serious note... it is strange how some dogs do it and some don't.

One of my nans Jack Russells used to do it alot. She'd fling it up in the air with her mouth and play with it, then eat it or bring it indoors and drop it on the floor!

Re: Eating poo

Please don't let puppies eat poo if you can help it .One of my pups has been seriously ill at the vets suffering with a stomach infection caused by eating poo. It contains a bacteria which usually gives the puppie diarreah for a couple of days then they are fine but on the odd occasion it can make them seriosly ill and it can ill. We were lucky and got her to the vets in time but she was on a drip from monday to friday then under observation for another 3 days. She's fine now just neds a bit of TLC to get her back right

LOL both my boy and girl go that...... I'm like it just came out of you why u gotta sniff it to check?!!

Neither of mine have even attempted to eat their own poo (or each others), touch wood! But my boy is an absolute nightmare for eating any other poo he comes across, horse, cow, sheep, goose.... he's so discusting My gorl doesn like a bit of horse now and again.

They really can be discusting creatures can't they lol
