What Dogs were Bred For
Following on from another discussion. I noticed a lot of members against Show Dogs as in they should be bred/ used as for what they were bred for not for prancing around the ring-
So I thought of some breeds that could not possibly be used today for what they were bred/ used for in the past Example--- Dalmation-I believe these were used for running alongside carriages Chinese Cresteds were known as the Edible Dog ![]() Can think of some more but would like to know what members think--- |

![]() Now that reminds me of a story. Bert who won Crufts with his Peke, is a friend of mine. When he won Crufts there was terrible stories going around that his dog had surgery on its face to aid its breathing. Bert was questioned by the KC and had to produce his vet details etc.... and all due to jealous Breeders IMO Last edited by clueless; 20-08-2008 at 12:12 AM.. |
