Crying
It's Toby's first night and I know he's just missing his mum and things but we've not even gone to bed yet and he's crying
![]() I keep telling myself it's because he's homesick but it's still heart wrenching, I'm doing everything I can to take his mind off it, games, cuddles, everything! I know it'll stop but it doesn't mean I'll hate it any less, makes me want to cry. ![]() |

Re: Crying
Thanks for the advice, he's just had his last meal and in a bit I'm going to take him out then it's bedtime
![]() I'm going to put a hot water bottle under his blanket and give him something that smells like me too...but I know the first night will be the hardest. |

Re: Crying
like englishrose said the first couple of nights will be the worst. you could try giving him an old tshirt of yours with your smell on it or even leave a radio on so he can hear a little noise. you can get dog toys with heartbeats in them which go in a pups bed to try and help soothe them like this Comfort Pal only £12.99 - more puppy comforter heartbeat heart comfort pal heart beat toy - www.canineconcepts.co.uk
i've not used these and think they're maybe a bit pricey, but they do look good ![]() |
