I think the T Shirt thing does help and say you have to leave the puppy when you go to work etc the puppy has something with your scent on it so it can still smell you when your not there.

Re: Crying

When my puppies left me.. They all left with a toy they had played with here and a smelly blanket they had all shared.. I was cutting them up..lol and a smelly bone they had played with..

I hope in doing this I made the transition a bit easier for pups and new parents.. I am sure he will settle..

Rosikus will become famous soon enough
Re: Crying

The first night is over Thank god.

I'm hoping he's ok. I got up at 1.30am and 5.20am and then properly at about 7.10am when we had breakfast and went out for a wee.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, he's still quite whiney. He's ahd breakfast, been outside, and when I try and play with him he doesn't seem very interested and enjoys following people that walk past my door rather than playing with me. But then he comes back in whining.

Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Crying

It sounds as if he's not quite sure what's going on - which is perfectly normal. He is only a baby and he'll be wondering where his "other" house and brothers and sisters are - just give him lots of love and attention and he'll soon settle down and be happy!

Re: Crying

Have you given him some cuddly teddies, and maybe a mirror somewhere safe he can see..He may think he is seeing his mates.
