Licking!

Teddy the puppy poodle loves to lick Tippy our whippet girl he is always licking her on her back,ears,eyes its constant why does he do that she svery good with him but i'm sure she gets fed up of all the licking plus shes soaked all the time

Yep my staffie does that to my DDB pup she is always soaking too .... he also does it to us .. if we are lying on the sofa every now and again he will get up, come over and lick us then go back and lie down - just so we dont forget he is there

I've heard poodles are quite 'licky'. I think it's a sign of affection and that they've bonded.

Thats very sweet, but if you think your Whippet is just a tad fed up by it all you could try wiping her over with something like Bitter Apple, after a while your Poodle might get the message, LOL

Duke our 3 year old SBT is constantly licking the kittens, I assumed it was part of bonding and cleaning. The kittens lick him too especially his ears.
