Maybe best not to let him in the garden i would call and ask the vet for advise, if the garden has been cleared off dog mess and lots of time/rain has passed would it not be ok? It just doesn't sound practical to me to keep a pup out of my own garden for a month. Do carry him out and about to meet people, hear traffic noise etc and maybe if you know someone with a vaccinated dog let them come over to play. The 4 weeks between 8-12 weeks is a very important socialization time Enjoy him and get some pics up

Most rescues vaccinate a dog before letting it go to a home. Why not ring them and ask?

I'm all for having the pup in a crate in your bedroom. He's crying to call his mother back. Now he has you instead, you should be close to him.

I would put the crate next to your bed where hs can see you and you can talk gently to him to re assure him

when we first got kaiser i used to sit in his crate with him till he fell asleep. i then moved to sitting outside the crate till he settled down

just so u all know hes in the vets at the min hes got a poorly tummy and weve had to take him back in
theyve admitted him n hes been put on a drip
