how often do u wash blankets.

Very strange question to ask but i seem to find myself aving to wash ma dogs blankets every few days or they stink to high heaven.

they get covered in dribble, mud, bones the works...and so if the blankets stink...then my dogs will end up stinking...so i gotta wash them often and im not impressed.

i ave a washing line full of blankets that look like theve been to hell an back *show up* i feel like putting a sign up next to the line wiv *dog blankets* writen on it just so the neighbours know there not my personal blankets pmsl.

Loe I know where you are coming from regarding the *show up* when the dogs blankets are on the line - I have to do mine every few days too - they get covered in slobber so fast! I use big throwovers but they get so minging and I just know some neighbours must think they have come off the sofa PMSL Shall we make a sign for the line??????

Re: how often do u wash blankets.

Duke has a vet bed and a cushion with cover, so I have a change for him. I wash and change his bed once a week.

I thought his petbed was great not so sure now, we've only had it three years and its showing signed of wearing and its a pig to clean. I should have gone for the plastic resin type. We learn by our mistakes.

Not sure how other forum member will take this by hey ho its what I do. His cushion pad I put inside black bin liners tape the bags together and put the whole thing inside his cover. The cushion still smells as fresh as the day we bought it. fortunately Duke isn't a destructive dog so the risk of suffocating is negligible, however I do check regularly for signs of damage.

We're having to wash ours every couple of days too as whoever said dogs don't go the toilet in there beds hadn't met Harlie. She's doing really well at house training (she's 11 wks old) but if she has accidents its in hers or Baileys bed on the blanketsxx:

puppies wee where ever they are, Duke's bed is huge and as a puppy I thought he was cleaner than he was. He would wee at one side of his bed and sleep on the other side. Like you I was washing bedding regularly.
