Kitchen Floor

Hi guys not sure if you can help

We have moved to a new house where the kitchen floor is WHITE GLOSS shiney floor tiles. Although they look lovely as you can imagine with 4 dogs its not practical, also with them being shiney (smooth) the pup (12 week old newfie) keeps slidding al over, today she slipped and really hurt her self so need soemthing asap.

1) what type of floor would you recommend

2) what sort of floor would be best not to hold the smell of dog wee

3) How can you clean tiles (we have them in a utility room) from the smell of dog wee from the previous people?

any help would be greatful

Answers

1. Tiles - but a non slip variety
2. All floors will hold smell of dog wee if not washed
3. Elbow grease and bicarbonate of soda.

mix with hot water - biological washing powder mixed in hot water also does a grand job.

Re: Kitchen Floor

We have a customer with a simular flooring and their pup was doing the same thing. They bought a few cheap carpet rollends and put them down until he was steady on his feet.

Re: Kitchen Floor

You can get non slip tiles for floors, even for humans glossy tiles can be dangerous. In the meantime you could but rugs, pieces of carpet etc down so your pup doesn't slip.

The get the smell out, white vinegar or biological washing liquid or get something from the pet shops to take the smell away.
