Well as most of you know ive got 4 girls and i very randy boy..
At the mo is humpin like mad(typical man).
I keep him apart when the girls when they are i season but he keeps crying to get at the bitches-do you think im cruel on him with all this temptation about?

i've not got an awful lot of experience with this as we only have one girl, but when our girl is in season our entire boy would cry and get very randy, it's strange though as i've never thought of it as being cruel. i have one friens who has 3 bitches and 1 dog and she puts her dog into kennels as the bitches all seem to come into season round about the same time, she does work though and she said if she was at home all the time she'd keep him at home

I have 3 entire female whippets 1 entire female greyhound and 1 entire female irish setter I also have 4 male whippets (1 castrated) and a male greyhound. My boys live with the girls and but are obviously kept seperate when the girls are in season. My boys do not really bother about the girls being in season as they know they are not allowed to touch unless given permission. When we only had 1 bitch she used to go to boardng kennels when she was in season but I don't send them now as I would always have a bitch in kennels as my bitches do no cooprate and come into season together

It all depends if you want to breed or not to be honest with you.

However I look at it as if I was the male dog, for example: if you were the dog in question and was with a girl and you was ready would you rather be allowed to do what you wanted or be kept away.

We had one of each sex and let them breed the first time but as I wasn't really experienced with breeding dogs I was a bit nervious but thats just me.

I am hoping to breed from him in the futer so he can not have the snip
All the cavalier breeders that i know-say im not cruel because i keep them apart whe my girls are in season-they say it is natural for boy to cry.
They all get on great but when one is in season he does cry because he wants get at the girl.

I dont think your cruel as I get exactly the same with my terrier, he gets very randy even though I keep my unspayed bitch up my mums when shes in season ( I cant have her spayed for medical reasons), I do feel really sorry for him as he pants and whines all the time as he can smell her on me, My oh wants to breed from him at some stage but I keep nagging to have him nuetered,
