Re: Stop Now!

Like I said Sallyanne, there have been numerous links put forward, from Border Collie rescue, Crufts, Peta (whom you have no time for), etc. etc.

You chose to ignore all of them, which of course is your prerogative.

It is therefore for your conscious alone, should you buy this product.

Yes Nina links have been put forward but only ONE was independant and only made TWO references to Iams, all the rest link back to Peta and Uncaged, including the border collie site.
Did they do there own research?I can really see a rescue doing research into these Iams claims can you?
If they did where is the evidence?

Re: Stop Now!

I sometimes wonder if you actually read the posts before answering them

There is a list of all the pet food companies you do NOT test on animals. Iams have never denied testing in their labs, so lets forget all the information that people have put forward. So are you saying, that you still do not believe that Iams test, despite their own admission? Are you also saying that the tests carried out are ethical and do not involve pain? That you would continue to use such products regardless of the alternatives.

If so, again this is your prerogative of course. All my initial post was designed to do, was to draw attention to this company and give animal lovers the opportunity of choosing an alternative, in the hope of stopping the experiments. As you quite rightly say of course. Everyone has freedom of choice. Except the poor cats and dogs forced to endure the testing that is

Sallyanne and myself have both said we do nto feed Iams. In fact, I don't feed any commercial dog food at all, as I believe that it is all designed with cost in mind, or it wouldn't contain any cereals. because I ama dog lover and want the best for my doglets, I have spent over a year researching canine nutrition and methods of feeding and have decided that raw is the best way to go for myself and my dogs. But that is an entirely different debate.

I also don't think that either Sallyanne or I have said that Iams do not test. What we have said is that the information you want to bring to everyone's attention is from dubious sources and when trying to determine something, information from a variety of sources needs to be looked at. The fact is, the information you have supplied all goes back to PETA and uncaged, and IMO they are just as likely to be spouting anti P&G propaganda (they are proven liars an dave been proven to cause animals suffering themselves) as Iams themselves are likely to give information in their favour.

So until an independant study is carried out, the jury is out on this one for me.

Not just me Jackson, from other sources. It was actually brought to my attention by a client, and after some searches on the website, was horrified. Just thought pet loving people on this forum may be interested
