What breed would you suggest?

I spoke to my friend earlia and she is looking at getting a dog in the next few years but she's not sure what would be best, here's some info.
She has 3 kids aged 4, 2 and 5 months
She lives on a army barracks surrounded by fields
She works part time but may not be working by the time she gets a dog
She has had a rescue dog before but she proved to be a cat chaser which is not the best as she has a bengal.
I have suggested a rescue staff but she doesn't like staffies
Her husband wants a collie, i said that was a bad idea as i know 100% she wouldn't be able to keep it occupied
She wants a lab because it looks sweet I have put her off them as i said they can be destructive.
She does not want a big dog
She is happy to look at a rescue dog which is good.
But are there any breeds that could be suitable?
