Will this be too busy for my pups first day?

I collect my puppy on Sunday.

On Monday I have an extremely busy day. My sister and three kids are coming to stay. Then in the afternoon I have a meeting with two people round my house.

This means on Monday, I will have 6 kids, 4 adults.

I am all for socialising my pup but do you think this is a bit much for her first 'full' day? LOL

I think the more visitors the better, provided pup can get plenty of rest and the people are well trained in how to behave around a pup.

If she's a typical Golden, she'll love the attention!

Really? I have got a crate for her so she will have a safe haven.

My goal is to take her to work with me anyhow, and being around kids is gonna be her forte LOL

When we took 3 kids to see her on Sunday she was already fab at 6 weeks. Was very placid around them.
Didn't bite them at all, just let them stroke her. Cool

Yep i think it won't do her any harm at all either, when we've had pups we've always had people in and out from when we first had them, like Jackson said though as long as they respect her
I tend to think my lot have benefited from being round lots of people from the start.
Not long now mrsdusty either

It should be fine, I'm sure it will love the attention as long as people don't bombard it with affection the entire day

Re: Will this be too busy for my pups first day?

Personally I would have said yes that there was likely to be too much hustle and bustle going on, BUT, so long a the grown ups know the drill there should be no major probs, I see that others with more knowledge then myself have said the opposite, so be aware I am not trying to split hairs, just giving my own personal opinion, which could well be wrong.

I feel that when he leaves his pack he will be quite bewildered and maybe cry, I feel that when little puppies come home they should be allowed to eat sleep and pee when they want. they also need to feel a sense so long as the grown up's (me would have BIG problems leaving anything so hugable!!!! could leave the pup and let it settle in things should be ok.

Cannot wait to see the piccys

yeah...too much really I think. I was told by various people that its better to keep the first few days quiet to let the pup settle down into his home. but if theres nothing you can do about it then its not going to have huge affect on him and change the rest of his life! lol
