Chance is on a distinguished road
Re: Crate Training

I live in a crate and have done since I arrrived at my new home. I moan for a few minutes when I first go in there but love it really! It's my space and I like it!!!

I'm now 99% house trained but still pose a serious 'chewing' risk! I think I'll be in it for a bit longer yet.

Interesting though, how long do Pups generally live in a crate for?

Re: Crate Training

Mine are 6 and 7 months and we have just stopped putting them in their crates at night and when we are out, so far they've been very good.

Re: Crate Training

Im just in the process of carte train them...didnt really figure out how yet
At moment they have a comfy bedding in the crate which is in the dog pen and the door of the crate stays open all night. They like to sleep in there and play but i havent tried to shut the door yet.
I think a crate is a good thing and when the dogs accept it its great.

Re: Crate Training

Can't really vote one way or the other. No Duke isn't crate trained but I bought a large crate to keep the kittens safe and Duke is quite happy to go into the crate, eat and relax. I doubt I would have a problem if the need arose.

Im glad to hear that
When the dogs are in their crate then the cats are confident enough to come closer and have a look
