I just saw this advert and am sooo annoyed

four stunning CHINESE CHIHUAHUA pups very beautifull markings two females fawny shaded one blue silver male and one true hairless chocolate male ,mum is a small cream smooth coat chihuahua and dad is small chihuahua X hairless crested these are unique and a one off .These will be small dogs takeing more of the chihuahua features,i would prefer hairless to go to a home with experience of them ,already lots of interest book early to avoid disappointment a deposit of two hundred and fifty pounds will secure pup to the right home .Viewings available on request by telephone only .(strictly no breeders or timewasters ) £995

Now note the father is already a cross Okay I have read it a few times and maybe it was an accidental mating but IMO FFS why not use the mismate injection
Seems very expensive for an accidental mating though, years ago these pups would have been given away Free. I also think its sad he states No Breeders
So would anyone want one of these crosses considering the Chi has PRA, Hydrocephalus, Patellar Luxation and Mitral Valve Disease as Hereditary conditions and the Cresteds has PRA and Patella issues being investigated

Thats my thoughts Claire I have seen so many crosses recently with my Breed and it makes me so angry as people like these are wasting the Breed IMO.
Recently there have been ads for Cresteds crossed with Poodles, Yorkies and one litter was from a Saluki

wow i cant beleve it nearly a grand for a bloody mongrol im in total shock.
Its all about the money and i can put money on it this mating was no bloody accident.
i wonda wat mug is gonna come along and buy these...more money then sence...then again their money will come in handy to pay the vet bills once they start showing signs of bad breeding.

the thing is i dont have a problem with crosses bein bred as long as they have loving homes waiting and they dont cost the bloody earth, a cross should cost cross prices BUT with ur breed that suffers many problems and their is few off the only reason someone would cross them would be to make stupid money,,,, just my opinion

The Chi's have more Health Issues than my Breed Claire. LCP can/ may happen to any Toy Breed. PRA is now being tested for in UK, but so far no positive's as yetwithin the Cresteds although positives in USA

i know they both have health problems but i just thought your breed was rarer if you understand what i meanlol i assumed they would command a higher price than chi's. which then just shows they used the cross mating for money only, its obviously not love of/bettering the breed

Just money grabbers.

I doubt it was an accidental mating... they'll probably breed them again for more money.

Anyone person who buys these would be silly. Paying that price? wt* more money than sense. But there's plenty of people out there without any knowledge about all this stuff who will buy these pups because of what they have in them and what they look like/will look like.
