Re: Your Idea Of A Good Breeder

All the above as well as someone that doesn't think there job is over when the pups have left at 8 weeks old!!

I have 2 dogs, same breed, different breeders. Our first's breeder ticked all of the boxes but hasn't given a sh!t since. I have emailed pictures and updates but with the dissinterested replies I get, literally one word replies I have given up on them now even though I would love to know how his litter mates are getting on.

Our first breeder actually had a litter of pups when we were looking for our second pup and I didn't even entertain the idea of going back.

Our second breeders, both the sire & dam's owners have both been fantastic both whilst mum was pregnant, after pups were born and still now. We keep in regular contact and no question I have is too silly. I know we will stay in contact throughout the life of our pup. We have even taken our pup out on a couple of occassions with her mum or dad and 2 of her brothers which I think is great.

I have 2 fantastic dogs, but unfortunately they don't both come from fantastic breeders

Re: Your Idea Of A Good Breeder

I don't know nuch about breading but I guess a braeder who gives his dogs a medical check by a vet before breading to see if they're ok for it. Who looks after the mum dog and makes sures the puppies are ok and gets them checked by a vet when born. Keep the puppies safe not outside. And when people come to look at the puppies they can see the mum and dad puppy and are not rushed into buying them.
