I only have kc dogs? - Page 5

I agree with most posters on this thread as I could be also classed as a KC Snob

I could not care less what people prefer as long as these Non KC dogs and Crossbreeds are not bred from.
This thread started as KC reg dogs preferred by Cavrooney and a few posters have views against KC reg dogs Sooo I will not disrubt this thread but start a new one as I have a question

i have taken all posts onboard...and i can see why some people might think that others with kc reg dogs might come across in a snooty way..but i have one of each,so i'm in the middle,lol but when i read some posts i can understand why those with none kc reg dogs get offended...but i would like to add this, kc reg or not puppy farmers can give you a pedigree and kc papers...why should that be? people think that buying a kc reg dog will "prove" it is well breed.not so!

Obviously you do care as you have stated that they should not be bred from.

as i stated before..what about kc reg dogs from puppy farms? a genuine question

...........kc does NOT = well bred

I also have non kc dogs and very proud of them too. It just goes to show doesnt it how the forum divides when it comes to this subject. I have had my dogs health checks done and have bred from them yes and made a lot of people happy on the way.

Correct KC does not mean well bred,health tested or a sign of a decent Breeder.It is upto the puppy buyer to do there homework and find out as much info as they can about the Breeder,why they bred the litter,what health tests the parents have had,what the premises are like,etc....
Again it comes down to educating the public on where and how to buy well bred pups.
The KC can't check every litter that is registered with them,thousands of puppies are registered each year and to check every breeder would be an extremely hard if not impossible task.

In summary it boils down to whether you want a trophy dog or to have a much loved pet!

So why then do people say they would only have KC, what make the KC so special if they are for pets only?
