Today out walking my friend found a small lost dog no collar chip ! We rang council and the dog warden is closed they cant help, the police no longer take stray dogs and the rcpca are no longer allowed to take in strays apparently
So wot on earth is she to do with this dog ???? So far he seem friendly no's no basic training but follows happily on the lead ! Any ideas ?

It may be worth putting him on doglost as a 'foundie' see if anyone comes forward, I'd see if he's chipped too get the Vet to scan him

he's not chipped and ive seen him 2 be honest he doesnt look in great condition his claws are over grown and had a sore ear poor lil ting shes going to keep him untill monday wen hopefully the dog warden will be open again

Awww thats a shame, can she not keep him? Or hold onto him herself & re-home? He will end up at the pound if he's taken away by the dog warden, which by the sounds of it wouldn't be the best place for him giving the state he's in

were looking into rehoming him but might be hard as we dont no how old he is or anything he doesnt mind cats and loves her female dog is cryin wen seprated from him however has growled and slihtly mouthed wen she tried to clip his claws he has had a bath ! tink he's a bischon frise cross ! she is not sure about keeping him as he growled and she has kids !

Vets can usually have a good guess as to how old a dog is, they are not always right but they are very close.

Sounds like a 'desirable' little crossbreed, amazed he don't belong to anyone, how do you know he isn't chipped, has he been scanned?

yes we've been to our local vets and had him scanned no chip the weren't 2 sure on his age thou ! Yes is a same he cant talk if any1 no's of a suitable home let us no if not he will be handed to either battersea or the warden on monday !
