One problem I can foresee is my OH and Daughter getting time off work to travel the 111 miles to wellingborough to see the dog with no assurances we would get her (im kinda heartset on Misty now , she's adorable and ive always loved Blue Merles ... im going to ring tomorrow to ask about her )

Both my OH and Daughter work very hard .. Both have a day job and a night job (both are workaholics) , the only day neither of them work is a sunday
Basically I only see them first thing in the morning ,tea-time & last thing at night before they fall into bed , lol (good job I like my own company huh )

I look after the Grandkids and Toffee and the house which I find a breeze.
In sept it will get even easier as Jamie starts pre-school , which is why I know I can take on another dog and easily cope

By the time id saw Misty it was too late to ring tonight ... but tomorrow morning i'll be the first one ringing them to enquire about her

My OH didnt say no to the drive , as long as its on a sunday , which is a good sign ... and he thinks she's a very pretty girl , also a good sign ... plus he knows ive always loved Blue Merles ... actually im nagging him to go to bed inbetween talking about Misty , lol (he has to be up for work at 1am)

All I can say is keep trying, there are rescues that don't have such strict re-home policies, I rehomed two dogs out of rescue with a child under 5 at the time, so keep trying

Some rescue centre have policies that are too strict which limits the number of suitable adopters, personally I think they need to have a re-think.

Its a tough call because we are in an age of claiming and they can't afford to make mistakes.
