Without wishing to cause offense (I have tried many different wordings of this thread) How can you tell that you're a buying a pup from a good breeder not a 'puppy farm'?

Hi and welcome!

Both the parents of the pups should have all the relevant health tests (if you let us know what you are looking for someone on here will be able to tell you what is relevant for the breed)
Ask to see copies of the health tests and make sure they are upto date

Always see the mum not always poss for the dad as we tend to travel miles to use a dog.

Look for happy, healthy pups no runny eyes or noses, no squitty poo anywhere, clean living conditions.

A good breeder will always ask you lots and lots of questions which can verge on what some people think personal

Puppies will not leave until about 8 weeks and will come with a diet sheet, most now come with a contract, puppy pack, and lots of information from the breeder, kc registration and pedigree.

Probably lots more which someone will see that I have missed.

hi this is what i do when i sell pups
full kc reg and pedigree
show all health tests done on bitch and stud dog(before they were mated)
offer a lifetime of advice and can return puppy if any problems?

yes but i am sure if they had been local you would have gone?
i think it is lovely when keep contact and see the pup grow up and mature?
ive been lucky no off my dogs have gone to far away

A good breeder usually doesn't breed more than one breed of dog, I know of some people that do have more than one breed, but not that many.

i mostly breed dallies but now have another breed but will only let him stud if and only the breeder i got him from say's his good breeding stock and then only when she has checked out the bitches line and all the health checks , like eye and hips etc have been done.

like i said to the breeder im new to this breed and so will rely on her for lots of advice if we do want to have him for a stud and his is a good breed standard
if not they come off
