Re: Hand rearing Chihuahua losing weight

That is a worry for you, I would go to another vet for their opinion, a puppy should be putting weight on. Have you thought about Tube Feeding as that puppy may be so weak that it havent got the engergy to suckle. Your vet (new one) will be able to show you exactly how to tube feed the little one. If it was me I would defo try the Tube Feeding. good luck and I hope he fights all the way. xxxxx

Re: Hand rearing Chihuahua losing weight

Just come back from another emergency vets
He said its not looking good as what i thought
He gave him an injection of water under the skin and antibiotic injection
He gave it some water in the mouth and it look it, so said no need to tube feed, just do little and often.
he said im doing everything i can, but its just one of those things.
So far my vet bill is £1000, hope people who are thinking of breeding dogs read this and take it into account.
Ive lost my little girl which i paid £1000 for and £1000 on vets bills, to come out with a broken heart.
I dont hold up hope for the pup
