Any disinfectant you can use for a newborn baby will do the same thing for puppies areas. I use Detol on the floor, on the walls, on woodwork, in the kitchen, bathroom everywhere.

Hello All

NOt been online for the past couple of weeks, as had the horrid swine flu.
Great timing eh.

Well molly done so well, bless her.....she has a beautiful baby girl,. She is a great mom,. and max is very maternal too.

She had 5 in total, 2 stillborn, and two died after a day or so....moll is tiny and i think it was just too many babys. she is teacup size. The vet thinks that maybe why they were low weight.

It was heartbreaking......i have lost children, two boys, so found it hard, but i needed to be strong for moll, and move on and concentrate on the living lttle girl.

Molly is great, fab mom.

Awww bless you. I am so sorry about your loss, that must of been awfull for you. How is Molly now hun, I havent been online for a while either, but just saw your link and clicked back on it for update and read what you put, I feel so sorry for you and Molly. I dont mean this to sound horrible, but if they had to pass away then it is better at birth or at least the day after, it would be awfull for you to have them for a couple of weeks then something happened to them. So glad she is doing good with the little one. crossing fingers to you that everything goes well for Molly and little one. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Moll is loving motherhood, lol....she is just fab, i was so worried that she might lose the last one too, and then would go into grief, but she never, and totally agree, it is best that they went around birth etc.... we tried to revive them etc.. and the two weaker ones we tried, but it wasnt to be. Bless them. Still, my boys have puppies in heaven to play with, two each lol.

Wr have called the little one Suzie,. Moll is so funny, she will carry her up stairs, dump her on me, and then pee off for 20 mins to have a break.

She is eating like a horse, and is loving every minute of being a mom....i am so proud of her, and of Mad Max too, he is norally hyper and like a bull in a china shop, but he is so gentle with his daughter, licks her and snuggles up to her, when moll lets him lol.

Just lovely to see.

Isnt it wierd how a puppy will change the behaviour of a dog, from being as you say hyper to mellow. Their maternal instincts just click into place. I am glad she is doing well and you have a surviving puppy. What is meant to be is meant to be, you tried and it didnt work, such a shame though and so sad.

Probably because your dog was a tiny dog and the ammount of puppies she was carrying took it all out of her so her nurishment and nutrients were low and the little ones didnt get all they should of in the womb. Hopefully she will be fine and have more surviving puppies on her next litter. You will have to put up a photo for us all to see her and Molly. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

considering her size and what happened IMO would be best not to mate her again.
