Lhasa Apso or Shih Tzu

I am wanting a puppy and the two breeds I am interested in are Lhasa's and Shih Tzu's.
I know a couple of people with Lhasa's that have children and they are fine with them but I've read on a few pages that they are no good with kids.
What does everyone think? Will a Shih Tzu be better?

Well the children are very well behaved and do as they are told (I'm very lucky!) so I should be OK!

Re: Lhasa Apso or Shih Tzu

Just noticed the picture thumbnails. The rabbit is lovelly (so is the dog obviously) I used to have a house rabbit, he was a Lionhead/cashmere lop and was magpie colour (blue and white) I was so upset when he died that I can't have another one. He was so well behaved and I don't think i'd get another like him. (*weep weep*)

I had a Shih Tzu for 14 years and he was great with my daughter from when she was born.....now got a 7 month old Lhasa and she loves kids too but shes always been used to them being around....to be honest between the 2 I've had theres not really much difference both as daft and as lovable
