Re: First season?

Anytime from around 6 months here - my girls usually come in at 8 or 9 months old but friends bitches have come in anywhere from 6 to 22 months - they're all Labradors.

Meg had her first season at 10 months, then every 6 months afterwards but again this can vary, our other bitches were around 9 months for there first seasons.

It's just a waiting game

Re: First season?

It can vary quite a bit. Generally speaking smaller dogs have their first season earlier than the larger breeds. I have a labrador who has just turned 2 and still no season I spoke to the vet about it the other day and he just said all dogs are individuals and she is just a late developer but tbh I am getting worried there is something wrong.
