When breeding dogs should the bitch be bigger than the male?

What breed of dog? Do they conform to the standard set by the kennel club?
There are a lot more things to consider when choosing a mate for your bitch and you have asked a very 'wide angle' question.

just looked back u have a yorkie yeh? not much difference in sizes if its another yorkie but if its a maiden bitch you will need a proven stud hun

as i've said in some of my posts, i have 2 toy poodles and the boy is bigger than the girl.( by about 2 inches in hight).I had the same worry, but i asked my vet and he says that mating them will be fine.

my stud was about 2 inches shorter than my bitch and when it came down to it he had to stand on tippy toe and some times he would have 1 leg of the ground lol, but he still got there

not relavant i no but thought it would be amusing, it was to see
