Re: Help Help Help

thank you everyone for your advice. I'm just going to get her spayed when she is old enough. I would never ever put her at risk just for my experience. I was incorrectly under the inpression it is healthy for a bitch to have a litter before been spayed. I now know this is an old wives tale and is not correct. Thanks again

xx

Re: Help Help Help

Totally agree never never breed for the experience, no dog wants or needs to have a litter, i can`t express enough to people that the experience if thats what you want to call it, is not rosie, i have 3 healthy puppies born yesterday, i`m finding typing so hard i am that tired, babies are gorgeous but i am sick with worry not just for them but for their mum (my baby) she looks so tired, she is doing a wonderful job but didn`t have to i have made her, i have put her through this because i wanted to become a breeder, now i feel so very very guilty, puppies are gorgeous but they are alot of work, worry and heartache is it worth it.
Enjoy your little girl and when she gets older if you feel you want a puppy and your situation is right DON`T breed, go out and buy a puppy, its so not worth risking you babies life for.

Well done, what a refreshing change to hear someone putting the care of their dog before their own desires.

Enjoy your puppy

Re: Help Help Help

if you want her to have a litter its up to you. you can always get her done after. the only thing i would say abt this is dont let her have more than 3 litters which my pug breeder recomends (who has been breeding for 40 years).

opening poster had chosen not to breed, seeing that she was a pet anyway I personally think she has made the right decision.

Thank goodness not all people think like this and put their bitch's interests before their own. If everyone thought this way rescue would be in a sorrier state than it already is.

Of course, everyone has rights, but alongside rights should be responsibilities, something that is too often overlooked or ignored by those who but their own needs and desires first.
