Hello, I'm not sure if I have put this in the right place, if not I apologise!

I am trying to find a responsible breeder for Chihuahua's, its so difficult to find breeders who are interested in breeding healthy dogs and not purely to make money from it.

Does anyone know of any? I have done an internet search and managed to find 2 but somethings mentioned on one as signs of being a bad breeder are on another one about them so now I don't know who to trust. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks for these, I'll take a look. All the adverts I've found so far have turned out to be scammers which is starting to get annoying. Does anyone know the average price for a chi, there seems to be quite a difference in prices ranging from £500 - £1400!!

Average price is around 1000.00 but with the credit crunch some people are dropping the price of pups.

I paid £780 for Milo he is K.C. reg and show qualitly. he was originally going for £1000 but the owners had a holiday booked and wanted Milo to go to his forever home before they went. We went along had a look asked alot of questions and hey presto we bought him, and havent regretted it once, we keep in touch with the owners aswell. Guess we were lucky, there are alot of scammers out there. I am on Epupz all the time AND I MEAN ALL THE TIME and the many times I have seen the same pics of puppies on different peoples adverts.......YES THE SCAMMERS Kennel Club is a good option as they have a list of breeders in all areas. Good Luck with your search.

Were abouts are you based as I have contacts with a few show quailty reputable breeders who may be able to help you.

Pm me if you want their details as I wouldn't want to put their details on the open forum with out asking them first.

I would contact the breed clubs. They will havea puppy list coordinator who should know who has pups at the moment or pups planned.

The breed clubs tend to impose stricter rules over and above the kennel club with regards to how often breeding, how many litters the bitch can have etc so they are a great place to start. They should really be able to point you in the direction of good reputable breeders of healthy, kc registered puppies.
