This forum is great! After some more advice now please.
Our gorgeous first time mum gave birth on Easter Monday to six pups (She is a Jack Russell Cross). We had the pups and mum all vet checked but now mum seems to be a bit off colour. She is still eating and drinking. Three days after having the pups she had the runs very bad but the vet gave some special food and paste and that stopped (thought the six afterbirths contributed to that??). But now she seems to have a discharge (not there before) and just seems a bit off?? I hope it is just a case of it all being new to her etc but if anyone can help it would be great, but I am keeping an eye on the discharge as I am concerned. (it is a bit bloody)

our terrier bitch had pups nearly nine weeks ago,,, she was losing discharge and a bit of blood for about a week,,,but as above says,, if you are worried or it is smelly, then get your vet to check her over,,,,,,,,,,,

Thanks - feel a little bit reassure that it may well be normal, but will give my vet a ring in the morning
