on behalf of my friend

my mate recently mated her american pit bull cross wit her boyfriends staffy bitch, now the bitch is fine and is showing all the promising signs of being pregnant, but Jake (the male) has been acting strange ever since, it was his first time but he seems different in behaviour and character not sure whats going on as its usually the bitches that change due to early pregnancy? any ideas are greatly appreciated

P.S. my mates not a member so ill pass on any ideas and info

thankyou

Re: on behalf of my friend

There is a staffy cross pit that lives near us, they also have a staffy. The other week the staffy was roaming the streets we had the dog the owner collected it and he was bragging that he has a pit/staffy. I phoned the police and they told me so long as the dog is registered and not roaming the streets then they can own it.
Are they only banned in certain parts of England.

My understanding is that if they are registered and under control they are legal but it's illegal to breed them.

Re: on behalf of my friend

Just re-read the post you said 'recently mated her american pit bull cross wit her boyfriends staffy bitch' then the next quote was 'and i don't tihnk the mating was planned'
There is far to many planned/unplanned matings happening, with more dogs/pups ending up in rescue centre's.
Again 'I'm not shooting the messenger so please don't take this as though i'm pointing the finger at you'

Totally agree, we have just got two pups, one dog and one bitch, common sense tells me to get one of them neutered as soon as is possible to avoid any unwanted litters.

Yeah but where do the dogs end up when these no brain chav's can't be bothered with them anymore??? Idiots that buy dogs for their "hard" looks aren't interested in the dogs welfare!
