Re: Good breeders/bad breeders

Very good I like the quote at the bottom,

Responsible Breeders Improve the Breed,

Backyard Breeders Damage the Breed,

That is so true!

Re: Good breeders/bad breeders

I'm not attacking anyone but throwing a debate up

I'm sort of cringing writing this but.. breeders YEARS AGO who may not have been as knowledgable scientifically etc etc breeds that have breathing problems, skeletal problems, brain problems the list goes on....have they really improved any breed?

I saw the controversial documentry about spanials that are bred by responsible breeders, yet the brain is to big for their skull. This leads to all sorts of problems. Obviously this comes from years of breeding to get the kind of animal breeds that are around today.

I understand the message of the text but I wanted to throw this into the mix for a lively debate.
